The Frozen 5k held on January 29, 2022 was a big success! There were 89 skaters participating, raising a total of $1,285 for the club and the HeRSTORY charity.
Skaters skated the 5km distance, 34 laps of the rink. The beginner level skaters were assisted by Jim Garbutt, Olivia Bosley, Mila Mummolo and Mackenzie Toews. Mila's dad, Alex, did the announcing and sang the national anthem. Thanks Alex!
There is already talk about doing it again, perhaps an annual event.
